If you are not in 4th-5th grade, you might not want to read this, but you should, just to be prepared. If you are in 4th-5th grade, this is a reminder of what we deal with. After I get through the, (Sorry, about the weird font, the craziness of school made me...... crazy.) So, after we get through the morning I know the hard part is just about to begin. Novel group can be a big pain in the neck for me because there’s so much homework to keep up with, especially the writing. I think spelling is just boring, but the good thing about it is that you can work on any type of spelling homework that you want. So, when I get home, I think it will all be over with, but then homework works its magic, its horrible magic. Just thinking about how much there is to do makes me crazy. Even though there’s lots of homework, we still have cool things to look forward to that you only do in 4th & 5th grade, like whale watching, the Oregon trail simulation, electricity experiments, and definitely the end of year Splash party! Cryptids are things that people haven’t discovered but still people have seen, like the Loch Ness Monster or Bigfoot. Some, you have seen before but you thought they were extinct. Others you may think are the strangest creatures you have ever seen. You may think that this stuff is crazy, but your parents may have said the same thing about pandas and komodo dragons when they were kids! People who study cryptids are called cryptidzoologists. I hope to be a cryptidzoologist, and when I do, the Loch Ness Monster won’t be just a part of your imagination!

• The Aspens
Aspens are quaking
Whispering, whistling, while
Gentle breezes blow
The aspens
The birds are singing
In the shaking aspen trees
Hot sun shimmering
The aspens
Silvery green leaves
Dot the clear river below
Rushing swiftly by
The aspens
